I started programming when I was in middle school. Since then, I’ve taken programming classes throughout high school and decided to pursue Computer Science as my major.
PROJECTS
Cogxpy is an application I developed white participating in undergraduate research under a UCF neuroscientific interdisciplinary lab, LabX. Cogxpy is a merge between Cogulator source code with a Python GUI built on Tkinter (and later converted to Kivy).
About the study:
My lab was conducting a fifteen minute driving simulation research study. The participants would have to watch a series of 2-second long clips which were either car collisions or regular traffic.
The participants could react by (1) moving the steering wheel left, (2) moving the steering wheel right, (3) pressing brake, (4) or pressing gas. These reactions would be read by a program written MatLab and developing a CSV file consisting of all the tasks the participant took during the study.
I was tasked with developing a GUI that would take in that CSV file, parse the different tasks and output the mental workload it took for the participant to mentally determine what action to take and how long it took them to actually perform it. As you can see, the GUI is not very pretty and we never got around to having the time to complete the study (r.e. COVID), but I'm thinking about rewriting this GUI sometime in the future.LabX is a neuroscience research lab at UCF that focuses on human-machine interactions and how we can make those interactions faster and more efficient. I participated in this lab over 2019 - 2020.
About the site:
I was tasked to build a website for LabX by our director using Wordpress X theme and integrating HTML, CSS, and JS elements. I designed the framework for the website allowing for future customization. It's very much one of my first projects in web design, but go ahead and check it out!
I designed the brand identity for Womxn Everywhere, an organization dedicated to centering the voices of the Black and POC LGBTQIA+ community for women aligning and non-conforming people.
Again, this is another one of my very first design projects but I was extremely happy with the end result. The 'x' in Womxn is covered with the intersectional LGBTQIA+ flag, which was included by the city of Philadelphia in 2017. Learn why.

National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Award Recipient – 2017
Presently, I work as a software developer, or “Techranger”, at UCF. I’ve only recently started this position yet I’ve grown and learned so much, strengthening my skills in web development and Python. I’m a member of CodePath’s Intermediate Technical Workshop. I’m also on the hunt for internships in software development or UX/UI design!
PROJECTS
This project is my first project that I've built completely from scratch using HTML/CSS/JS, Bootstrap, jQuery, and a lot of help from StackOverflow.
There's a lot of things that I could and will change about this portoflio in the future to make it more accessible and easy to use, but I'm very proud of this being my first try.
bema is a mobile app that I built with my team for the Black Lives Matter Hackathon.

There are a lot of things I want to do in the future, but (r.e. COVID) who knows what the future could potentially hold? Some near-future goals I have are to:
- Continue strengthing my programming skills
- Pass my classes with A's this semester
- Build a prototype for an app idea
- Land an internship for Summer 2021
At a glance..
TLDR? Here’s a quick take-away about me:
I currently work as a web/software developer for UCF. My dream is to become a UX designer & engineer, combining my love for design and coding.
